- Minimalistic design
- User-friendly interface
- There is no significant disadvantages
The service offers a single registration, you can connect all you accounts into a single account: ICQ (one or multiple accounts), Mail Agent, Vkontakte, Facebook, LiveJournal, Twitter, and many others. It's quite convenient, you don't need to remember a bunch of passwords, and, moreover, to divide your attention between two or more applications. All contacts will be in one place, they can respond much faster.
App allows you log in your account and use many of the full PC version features, although some settings are not full. You can connect a of new messengers accounts, customize the contact list, set the global status and X-status, and, of course, write messages. For more convenience, there is a separate tab with active contacts (ie contacts you corresponded at the last app session). You can move from tab to tab by swipe left / right or by tap on relevant tabs.
If you will restore down the app, the connection will be kept, you can switch on the Push-notifications. Standard QIP smilies are available a message box is made in the same usual style. A new message sound differs from the PC version, they are from ICQ. If the sound is muted, the new message will be noticed by vibration signal and LED-notification.
In general, QIP IM is pretty good alternative to the usual ICQ-messenger. I suppose you to change your usual messenger to this one if you decide to use multiple instant messengers simultaneously.
